I Need a New Computer

So recently, my computer has been having some temperature issues. It has overheated and shut itself down numerous times in the past few weeks. Now, my room is fairly cool. I've got a cross breeze and a whole host of fans, so I can pretty much dictate whatever temperature I want in my room. So, theoretically, my computer should be nowhere near overheating-especially when its not doing anything except idling. I'm not entirely sure what's wrong with it, but it is getting pretty old, its going on 6 years now, and I'm thinking about getting a new computer. Unfortunately, being a college student, I don't have a whole lot of funds.

What this really has to do with anything is this: Cinderella and I were talking on AIM and she requested a video conference. My own webcam was packed up somewhere from coming home from college about a year and a half ago, but that's another story. Anyways, Cinderella's webcam turned on, and I saw her face for the first time in a month. And I fell in love with her all over again. Seeing her smile just melted my heart and made me miss the hundred and one things that she did that made ME smile. So, of course, in my attempt to hopefully do the same to her, I rushed into my closet and began throwing things onto my bed to find my camera. Finally, I found it and plugged it in. Of course it didn't work. I tried to install it on my computer, but everytime, just as it was about to work, the program would close. Unfortunately, she was getting ready to go out with her friends, so it was a race against time for me to install it. She wasn't going to wait up for me. I tried everything, and finally realized I was going to have to reboot my computer.

Somehow, in my head, I equated getting my webcam to work before she left to getting back together. I told her I would be right back and restarted my computer. By the time my old computer finally came back online, she was gone and my hopes dashed.

And I still haven't been able to install that damn webcam.
